We are the Ryhter family! Richard and I were married in Cancun, Mexico 15 years ago and moved from North Seattle over 8 years ago to this amazing community called Tehaleh. We have two kids and 3 fur babies.
My husband Richard is the magician when it comes to the magazines layout and ad design. First and foremost, I am a mom and since last March I have been a teacher’s helper to our 2 children, I sell advertising space, connect with the residents and partners for content and I am the fundraising board member for Lake Tapps Lacrosse. Our backgrounds are not in journalism and publishing but it hasn’t stopped the passion we have for telling great stories and sharing important information.
Our daughter Raigan is 14 years old, is an honor student, an athlete, an artist and The Land Above editor. Our son Jaxson is 9 year old, he plays the guitar, loves building with Legos, flying simulated aircrafts and playing Roblox. We have two dogs, Whisky a 6 year old German Shepard mix and a 3 year old Corgi named Charlie. We also have a 2 year old rescue kitty named Rosie.
We started our first magazine The Land Above in 2016 to help create the community we wanted to live and raise our children in and combat the negativity of social media. We also found that our community grew so fast and we wanted to keep up with all the great things that were happening. We found it hard sometimes to find the local businesses to support. Are you looking for new insurance, new financial advisor, an orthodontist? Thinking of selling your home or adding air conditioning perhaps you want to get your one year home inspection done…we have great local companies for you!
At the end of 2020 we launched our 2nd magazine in the Ten Trails neighborhood called Exploring The Trails. The community of Ten Trails is very similar to Tehaleh and so we felt it was a great place to expand what we have been doing in our own community.
